Hi, I’m Meg Lilly

Proud wife, mom of three, and life-long travel lover who knows exactly what it feels like to want to carve more time out of your impossibly busy days to spend together. I founded Meg Lilly Travel Design to help more families do just that.

My Story

I grew up in a family of seven, so our home life was always loving though often hectic—but I’m lucky that my family prioritized travel early on. Even when our travels didn’t exactly go according to plan—like a road trip out West that included one broken-down van, one missing sister in a
shopping mall, and one trip to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy!—the memories we created together made it all more than worth it.

When I grew a family of my own, I knew I wanted to make travel a priority. Of course, that was easier said than done; it seemed like with every new school grade, the year got busier than the last. Couple the kids' school and sports schedules with my husband’s demanding career and my volunteer work on the executive board of the PTO, and we all often felt like just ships passing in the night.

It’s time to slow down and explore, together.

It was tricky to fit vacation time into our schedules—but I’m so glad that we did. I watched my kids’ confidence and independence blossom on trips to Europe, the Caribbean, national parks, and beyond. I also got to spend much-needed alone time with my husband, and show him the sights that sparked my wonder when I was younger.

Now that my children are nearly grown (the youngest now has her license—watch out!), I know that our family travel experiences have had a profound impact on how they view the world. And I have a treasure trove of forever memories to cherish.

Today, as a travel advisor, I draw on my own extensive travel experience, international connections in the luxury travel space, and meticulous attention to detail to create meaningful moments of connection for other families.
